If you have ever driven eastbound on the Massachusetts Turnpike by the Lee, Mass., exit you cannot help but miss a quarry of nearly perfect white rock. It turns out that it is a limestone quarry and is called OldCastle Lawn & Garden Northeast. The limestone that comes out of this quarry — and has been coming out since 1877 — is primarily used for agricultural applications. Fecon Introduces FRS15 Rotating Shear Attachment →

Fecon's FRS15 is the latest addition to the company's lineup of attachments for 16 to 24 ton (14.5 to 22 t) excavators. Made of Hardox Steel, this shear attachment provides a 360 degree rotation, which gives operators more reach and access to the trees and reduces repositioning of machines. A 29.5 in. (75 cm) blade opening allows the FRS15 to shear trees to 18 in. (45.7 cm) in diameter, while an accumulator arm allows gathering and continuous shearing of smaller materials. Click for more...

The new GXT 445 and GXT 775 straight and rotator models join the GXT 555 and GXT 665 models introduced in April 2013. Shorter in length and height and lighter in weight, the GXT features a center of gravity that is closer to the excavator, enabling the rotating models to mount on 46,000 to 78,000 lb.
