McCoy Group Inc. , a family-owned company based in Dubuque, Iowa, is expanding its business base into Tennessee and Kentucky with the purchase of eight John Deere Construction and Forestry stores from Meade Tractor Inc. The acquisition is expected to be finalized in early October 2023. MCF plans to retain the current Meade Tractor Construction and Forestry employees as part of the acquisition. McCoy Construction and Forestry hosted an open house and customer appreciation day on May 18 at its Cape Girardeau, Mo., facility. More than 450 people were on hand, including law enforcement from Cape Girardeau and Melissa Gray from the Missouri Forest Products Association. Chadwick-BaRoss held a live demonstration of Ponsse tree harvesting equipment June 14, 2023, in Sandwich, N.H. A wooded area of rural New Hampshire provided an ideal setting for Chadwick-BaRoss and representatives of Ponsse to demonstrate the Ponsse Scorpion King harvester and the Ponsse Buffalo forwarder. Chadwick-BaRoss has long been the exclusive Ponsse distributor in New England. June 26th is a historic date for Komatsu Forest since this is when the company's production at Klockarbäcken in Umeå became completely carbon neutral. Komatsu Group has a vision of being carbon neutral by 2050. This applies to both the production and use of Komatsu machines. This vision also was evident when designing Komatsu Forest's new production facility.
